Our client is seeking a reliable Natural Area Officer to join their team in Mackay. This role focuses on vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural public spaces, helping maintain clean, safe and well-presented areas for the community.

What You Will Be Doing
Carrying out vegetation management across foreshores, reserves and natural areas.
Performing weeding and general grounds maintenance.
Operating whipper snippers and other grounds maintenance equipment.
Applying herbicides in line with safety procedures and relevant requirements.
Maintaining public spaces and helping control unwanted vegetation.
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues as required.
Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a secure work environment.

What You Will Need
Current HR driver's licence.
Experience in vegetation management, grounds maintenance, parks and gardens or a similar role.
Experience using whipper snippers and other vegetation management equipment.




Herbicide application experience is highly regarded.
Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors.
Strong work ethic, reliability and a commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$34.96 per hour + Super + Penalties
