ELK / Elastic Stack Administrator – Baseline Clearance

Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra (adaptable)

Package: Up to $145k incl. super

About the role

Looking for a hands-on ELK Administrator to own and improve enterprise-scale Elastic Stack environments in a managed services setting. The platform is used for observability (logging, monitoring and alerting), not as a SIEM.

You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the platform secure, running upgrades and migrations, and fixing complex issues, working closely with engineering, operations and platform teams.

What you’ll do
Administer and maintain Elastic Stack environments across production and non-production
Lead platform upgrades, migrations and enhancements
Manage indices, ILM, shard allocation and cluster health
Troubleshoot complex issues across Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats
Design and build monitoring,



logging and alerting solutions
Work directly on Linux servers: SSH, logs, config and service troubleshooting

What you’ll bring
Recent hands-on experience as an ELK Administrator or Elastic Stack Engineer in enterprise settings
Proven delivery of ELK upgrades, migrations or implementations
Strong skills in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
Solid Linux administration skills
Ability to own the platform with minimal supervision
Australian Citizen with active Baseline clearance (mandatory)

Good to know
This is a managed services role, so it may involve shift work, on-call and after-hours deployments.
