Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Yardsman / Reo Machine Operator to join our Yeppoon branch on a full-time basis.

About the Role
As a Yardsman / Reo Machine Operator at Greensteel, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the yard, warehouse and reo processing area.
You'll make sure steel products are processed, handled, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role involving operating reo cutting and bending machinery, forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, order picking, and keeping the yard clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities
Cut and bend reinforcing bar to schedule using shears and benders
Process and handle mesh, bar and other reo products
Load and unload steel products safely and efficiently
Pick, prepare and check customer orders for dispatch




Operate forklifts and yard equipment safely
Assist with receiving, checking and storing stock
Maintain a clean, secure and organised yard and warehouse
Conduct basic equipment and machine checks and report faults or hazards
Assist customers and drivers in the yard as required
Work with team members to meet daily operational targets
What We're Looking For
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and capable of manual handling
Safety-focused with attention to detail
Able to read reo schedules and measure accurately, or keen to learn
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Required Qualifications
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
Experience in reo processing, warehousing, steel, manufacturing or construction preferred but not essential, as full training on reo machinery will be provided
HR licence and/or dogging ticket highly regarded
