This is a strategic, results-driven role for someone who can plan, prioritise and deliver.
You'll work closely with commercial developers and builders, commercial plumbers, home builders, and commercial merchants.
Key responsibilities
Researching market trends, client needs and competitor activity to identify and qualify recent opportunities
Developing and executing sales plans with clear objectives, goals and timelines
Building and managing a strong sales pipeline, including a watchlist of target projects in BCI
Winning specifications and converting projects
Acting as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction
Delivering on agreed revenue, margin and growth targets, and forecasting sales accurately
Partnering with marketing, product and customer service teams on client-specific strategies
Keeping the CRM accurate and up to date, and reporting regularly on activity and progress
About you




Proven business development success in the commercial construction, plumbing or building products sector
A true hunter mindset – you create demand rather than wait for it
Established relationships with developers, builders, architects and/or merchants
Strong strategic planning, negotiation and pipeline management skills
Commercially astute, with a track record of hitting revenue and margin targets
Confident using CRM systems and BCI (or similar project-lead platforms)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Current driver's licence
