Join our team as a WHS Officer, supporting workplace safety, compliance and risk management while fostering a proactive culture of wellbeing.
Saint Ignatius' College Riverview is looking for an organised, detail-minded WHS Officer to keep our safety systems sharp, our records accurate and our people informed. You'll work closely with the Chief Risk Officer and the Quality Assurance Manager, as well as the People & Engagement team, to monitor compliance, spot trends and make sure corrective actions are followed through.
In this role you will
Maintain WHS policies, registers, risk assessments and document control
Support the WHS Committee
Manage incidents and hazards, support investigations and monitor workers compensation cases with Payroll
Keep compliance training matrices, monitor currency of licences, trainings and certifications, and assist with staff inductions
Assist in the development of online WHS Training modules and coordinate staff training days
Support internal audits and follow up corrective actions
Produce safety reports, track KPIs and prepare executive dashboards

About You
Qualifications or experience in WHS, risk, or compliance
Knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Strong organisation and record-keeping, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
Analytical and reporting skills, including trend analysis and dashboards
Clear communication, discretion and a collaborative, team orientated, versatile approach
