Position Information
Concord High School is a large, agile, comprehensive setting with approximately **** students from a broad range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
The 3 Deputy Principals and 100 teaching staff are experienced, high-performing and have high expectations of successful student outcomes.
There are a wide range of wellbeing and extra-curricular programs in place designed to ensure that all students are engaged and well supported in their learning.
The school is part of the Sydney North sporting zone, and runs an integrated weekly sport model for students in Years 7-10.
The school has recently benefitted from an extensive capital works program, providing new, modern, indoor and outdoor sporting facilities.
The school is set in picturesque surroundings in the inner western suburbs of Sydney.

Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position.
In addition to the general selection criteria;
1. Approval to teach PDHPE with a proven record of achieving academic success and outstanding outcomes in the Stage 6 course.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of a whole school integrated sport program that engages students with diverse physical and sporting abilities and interests.
3. Demonstrated collaborative and consultative leadership to drive improvement and innovation across a PDHPE faculty with teaching staff at various stages of career development.
General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.



Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
