The Opportunity
Enjoy hands-on work outdoors?
Join our Parks and Environmentteam and help keep the City's parks, gardens and streetscapeshealthy by maintaining their irrigation systems.
Reporting to the Irrigation Lead, your main duties willinclude:
Checking, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems,pumps and controllers;
Finding faults and making sure watering systems workproperly;
Setting watering schedules to use water efficiently;and
Completing planned maintenance and repairs safely, as partof a team.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems;
Practical knowledge of irrigation equipment, pumps andcontrollers;
Experience with physical work and secure manual handling;and
Good communication skills, a focus on safety and theability to work well with others.
An irrigation qualification, such as a Certificate III inIrrigation or Certified Irrigation Operator certification, would bean advantage.

Eligibility
To work with us, you will need:
The right to work in Australia;
A current 'C' class Australian driver's licence;
A Construction Induction Card (White/Blue Card);
The ability to carry out physical duties, including walkingand standing for long periods;
Fitness for work, assessed through a pre-employmentmedical; and
A satisfactory National Police Clearance dated within threemonths.
