Opportunities are available within our Ground Operations department for a Part-Time Ground Operations Support Officer to join our team based at the Darwin Airport.
Hours of work are rostered over a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays, so it is essential that interested candidates are flexible with their availability.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with the boarding and marshalling of passengers
Preparing, loading, and unloading of catering for all flights out of Darwin including return sectors
Travelling as required to regional airports to support aircraft turnarounds – passenger check-in and loading of baggage
Providing assistance to passengers with disabilities e.g. pushing wheelchairs etc
Other duties as required to assist with the airport operation.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in aviation desirable but not essential
Must be physically fit to lift items up to and including 32kg
Previous experience in handling general items – packing, loading, unloading and stocktaking
Good organisational skills and time management, including a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Previous experience in stock control
Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel




Be able to hold and maintain an Aviation Identification Security Card (ASIC).
