We're looking for an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team and help us keep the quality high and the queue moving.
The role You'll prepare and cook our menu items to a consistent standard, from hand-rolled bagels and toasted sandwiches to deli meats, salads, breakfast items and daily specials.
You'll work closely with front-of-house staff and the owner to keep service smooth, especially during the morning and lunch rushes.
Key responsibilities : Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before and during preparation Adjust and keep an eye on the temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment Cook and prepare dishes to a consistent standard Season food as it cooks to bring out the best flavour Portion meals,



plate them neatly and garnish Store food safely in temperature-controlled areas Prepare dishes for customers with special dietary needs Assist with menu planning and forecast the quantities of food required Train and support kitchen staff and apprentices About you : Proven experience as a Cook for at least one year Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Supervisor certification is a plus) Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure Reliable, punctual and a team player with a positive attitude Flexibility to work weekends and early starts Current right to work in Australia What we offer : Competitive salary of $79,000 to $82,000 per year A friendly, supportive team in a popular West End location Opportunity to contribute ideas to our menu Staff meals and a great local atmosphere Apply now through our online application form
