Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking an Activities Officer to join the Aged Care & Disabilities team!
Make a positive difference in the lives of older people and people with disability through empathetic, personalised care and support.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To prepare and deliver a program for diversional and recreationactivities in consultation with residents and participants which buildsindividual care planning goals set by the senior staff. Develop, implement andevaluate individual/group resident/particpant focused programs.
Full time position 38 hours per week. Rostered Monday - Sunday
Weekly pay cycle
Salary $***** per hour plus applicable penalty rates
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications:
Experience working with and empathy towards the elderly.
Experience in formulating and implement diversional/recreationaltherapies.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or commitment toobtain within 12 months of appointment.
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.




Proven record of delivery of care in line with the Aged Care Standards
Commitment to WHS & EEO principles.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
