SKJ Carpentry, based in Julatten QLD 4871, provides property maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping services, including builders cleans, end-of-lease cleaning and holiday accommodation cleaning.
The business is seeking an experienced Commercial Housekeeper for a permanent full-time position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining and preparing commercial premises and short-term accommodation properties to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Cleaning and maintaining commercial premises, holiday accommodation and other assigned properties.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors and cleaning carpets as required.
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, fittings and interior surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, kitchens and other shared facilities.
- Changing bed linen, making beds and preparing accommodation rooms for incoming guests.
- Replenishing toiletries, linen, cleaning supplies and other essential items.
- Collecting rubbish, emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Performing detailed cleaning following building, renovation or maintenance works.
- Washing, drying,



folding and organising linen and other housekeeping materials.
- Inspecting cleaned areas to ensure established hygiene and presentation standards are maintained.
- Operating cleaning equipment and handling cleaning products safely.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.

About You

- Previous experience in commercial housekeeping, accommodation cleaning or a similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, hygiene standards and safe chemical handling.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and products.
- Ability to maintain consistent standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Solid attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good time management and ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform housekeeping duties safely.
- Reliability, professionalism and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across different properties and cleaning assignments.
