ACCOUNTANT (GENERAL)

Access Professionals Pty Ltd is an established accounting and consulting firm based in Beverly Hills, Sydney, with over 30 years of experience providing professional accounting and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients.

Our services include Accounting, Taxation, Business Consulting and Business Structuring. We focus on providing personalized and professional services to help clients manage their financial affairs, meet compliance requirements and make informed business decisions.

Our team is looking for a full-time Accountant to join our accounting practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional with experience in Australian taxation, financial reporting and compliance to further develop their career within an established accounting firm.

Role: Full-time

Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 excluding superannuation

Location: Beverly Hills, NSW 2209

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:

• Prepare and review financial statements, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and supporting year-end workpapers for individual and business clients.

• Prepare and lodge taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and other business entities.

• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST reports and other taxation-related documents.

• Examine financial records, operating costs, income and expenditure to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Calculate capital gains tax, depreciation and other applicable taxation liabilities.

• Prepare accounting work papers, maintain financial records and perform account reconciliations.

• Review financial information to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Maintain general ledgers, prepare journal entries and year-end accounting adjustments.





• Assist with accounting and taxation matters relating to business operations and compliance.

• Maintain and review computer-based accounting records and reporting workpapers using Xero, Microsoft Excel and relevant practice management systems.

• Liaise with clients and the ATO to obtain financial records, investigate discrepancies, resolve lodgement issues and respond to accounting compliance queries.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Minimum master’s degree in accounting or finance.

· A minimum of 2 years of relevant Australian work experience in an accounting role.

· Practical knowledge of Australian accounting, BAS/GST and taxation reporting requirements is required for this position.
