An exciting opportunity is available for a Recovery Funding & Policy Officer to join a dedicated team supporting the administration of disaster recovery funding programs that help communities recover following natural disasters and emergency events.
With two fixed-term opportunities available immediately through to June 2027, this is a unique chance to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation that plays a vital role in supporting Western Australian communities.
Your New Role
As a Recovery Funding & Policy Officer, you will play a key role in administering disaster recovery funding arrangements, supporting the assessment of funding applications and processing reimbursement claims from local governments and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing funding applications and reimbursement claims against established guidelines and funding requirements
- Analysing complex information and providing recommendations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and funding arrangements
- Preparing reports, correspondence, and written advice
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across local government and other organisations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and policy implementation

- Excellent written communication and report-writing capabilities




- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
- Experience interpreting policies, guidelines, or funding frameworks
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships
- Experience within government, grants administration, funding programs, policy, finance, or related environments will be highly regarded
