Your new company

Dotmar Engineering Plastics is seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead its Western Australian operation in Canning Vale. Dotmar has more than 50 years of history across Australia and New Zealand and is a leading specialist in engineering thermoplastics, polyurethane and conveyor components. Its capability extends from the supply and technical application of engineering materials through to CNC machining, fabrication and injection moulding.

Dotmar works across industries including mining, engineering, manufacturing, materials handling, food and beverage, infrastructure and transport, solving technical problems and manufacturing components for demanding industrial applications. Part of MM Plastics and backed by Metal Manufactures Pty Ltd, Dotmar offers the agility of a specialist industrial business with the resources and career opportunities of a substantial national group.

Your new role

You will take ownership of Dotmar's WA operation and lead a multidisciplinary team across:

- Sales and technical sales
- Manufacturing and machining
- Operations and warehousing
- Customer service
- Administration

You'll drive growth, develop the sales team, build stronger customer relationships and improve commercial performance. At the same time, you'll work closely with the operational side of the business to improve manufacturing productivity, forecasting, inventory, quality, safety and delivery. You'll also play a major role in developing the people around you, strengthening accountability and continuing to build a high-performance culture.

What you'll need to succeed

We're interested in candidates who have crossed the traditional divide between commercial leadership and operations. You might come from manufacturing, mining services, engineering, machining,



fabrication, materials handling, technical distribution or another industrial B2B environment. Whatever your background, you understand what wins the customer and what it takes operationally to deliver for them.

You'll likely bring:

- Senior leadership experience within an industrial or engineering environment
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Sales leadership and business development capability
- Exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, machining or industrial operations
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- A track record of improving revenue, margin or profitability
- A practical approach to continuous improvement
- Strong customer and stakeholder management capability

You'll be commercially sharp, energetic and comfortable making decisions. You enjoy improving businesses and developing people. You're prepared to challenge the status quo when something can be done better, and you're comfortable setting expectations and holding people accountable.
