PORTER SUPERVISOR – qualia / Hamilton Island

qualia, Hamilton Island's exclusive luxury resort, is seeking an experienced and polished Porter Supervisor to join our Front Office leadership team. Renowned for its understated elegance, intuitive service and breathtaking Whitsunday setting, qualia delivers highly personalised experiences for every guest. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee Porter operations, coordinate seamless guest arrivals and departures, and inspire your team to deliver the exceptional service standards synonymous with qualia.

Your Role

As Porter Supervisor at qualia, you'll oversee the daily operations of the Porter team, ensuring guest luggage, chauffeur transfers and arrival and departure services are delivered with precision, professionalism and discretion. Working closely with the Front Office Manager, you'll coordinate daily team activities, support staff development and maintain the exceptional presentation and service standards expected within a luxury resort environment.

You'll lead by example, anticipate guest needs and ensure every interaction reflects qualia's commitment to intuitive, personalised service.

Where you’ll make an impact

- Supervise and coordinate daily Porter operations, including guest arrivals, departures and transfers

- Ensure guest luggage, messages and personal belongings are handled promptly, securely and professionally

- Lead,



coach and train Porters to deliver exceptional luxury guest service

- Coordinate VIP arrivals, special requests and personalised chauffeur services

- Ensure resort vehicles and buggies are operated safely and maintained to impeccable presentation standards

- Work closely with Front Office and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences while maintaining WHS compliance

What we’re looking for

You are a confident and approachable hospitality leader with a genuine passion for luxury guest service. You understand the importance of discretion, attention to detail and anticipating guest needs in a premium resort environment. With strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach, you enjoy developing your team and creating memorable experiences that consistently exceed expectations.

To be successful, you will need:

- Current QLD Open/Unrestricted Manual Driver Licence (Essential)

- Previous Concierge or Porter experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel or luxury resort (Essential)

- Demonstrated experience safely operating and manoeuvring luggage utility vehicles (Essential)

- Robust leadership, coaching and team development skills

- Exceptional communication, organisational and personalised customer service skills

- Previous Front Office or Guest Services supervisory experience (Highly regarded)
