An opportunity is available for an experienced Superintendent – Mine Planning to lead the mine planning function across multiple underground gold mining operations in Western Australia. In this senior leadership role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary planning team, ensuring mine plans and schedules support protected, efficient and cost-effective production.

You will be responsible for aligning mine designs, production schedules and technical planning with operational requirements, business objectives and the Life of Mine (LOM) strategy.

The role involves:

- Leading, mentoring and developing a mine planning team of approximately 12 direct and indirect reports.
- Overseeing the delivery of integrated short-, medium- and long-term mine plans across multiple underground operations.

- Managing engineering workflows, planning priorities and technical deliverables to support safe and efficient underground mining operations.
- Collaborating with geology, survey, geotechnical, ventilation, production and operational leadership teams to optimise mine performance.
- Reviewing production forecasts, mining schedules, costs and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Integrating geological, geotechnical and operational data into mine planning decisions to adapt plans to changing conditions.
- Providing technical guidance and strategic advice to senior management on production profiles, planning risks,

resource utilisation and LOM considerations.

- Building solid relationships with key stakeholders to ensure planning deliverables translate into achievable operational outcomes.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- At least 10 years' experience as a Mining Engineer, predominantly in underground mining.

- Recent experience leading a mine planning or technical services team at Superintendent, Manager or an equivalent senior leadership level.
- A demonstrated ability to lead, develop and manage a team with multiple direct and indirect reports.
- Previous experience in medium- and/or long-term mine planning, including production scheduling and strategic planning.
- A strong track record of delivering practical mine designs and integrated schedules that support operational performance.
- Experience managing engineering workflows, technical studies and competing planning priorities.
- Excellent communication,

stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in mining software, particularly Deswik.CAD and Deswik.Sched, with experience in Ventsim and Microsoft Office considered desirable.
