Senior Personal Care Attendant – Boambee Gardens Retirement Village (Part Time)

Join our friendly team as a Part Time Senior Personal Care Attendant at Boambee Gardens Retirement Village, located in Toormina, near Sawtell in Coffs Harbour.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional to take on a senior role, supporting our residents and helping lead our care and village operations team. You'll play an important part in maintaining high standards of care, service and cleanliness while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our residents.

The position

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Providing and assisting with personal care services while maintaining residents' dignity, privacy and independence.
- Supporting the daily coordination of care and village operations activities.
- Monitoring the performance and work practices of PCAs and cleaning staff to ensure company policies, procedures and quality standards are followed.
- Supporting and guiding team members, including providing on-the-job training and conducting toolbox talks when required.
- Maintaining daily and weekly task lists and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing, including nutrition, hydration and safety, and escalating concerns as required.
- Assisting with meal preparation and service, cleaning, laundry and general village duties as required.
- Responding to resident emergencies and vital calls in accordance with operational procedures.
- Promoting a safe working environment and reporting any hazards, incidents or policy breaches to the Village Manager.





A willingness to work overnight sleepover shifts with weekday availability is especially advantageous.

This position will also work across areas and must be willing to undertake wait staff and Food Services Assistant shifts as required, including assisting with meal preparation, service, and delivery to residents.

We're on the lookout for someone with:

- Demonstrated experience in aged care or a similar care environment, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity.
- A flexible, team-focused approach and willingness to work across personal care, wait staff and food services duties as operationally required.
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members.
- The ability to guide, support and monitor team members and promote high standards of service.
- A good understanding of aged care practices, workplace health and safety and relevant procedures.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
- Must have a current Driver's Licence.
- A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).




- Preparedness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment, including Drug and Alcohol Testing.
