About the opportunity...
An established global pharmaceutical business is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A; Manager to take full ownership of a short-term budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling project. This is a hands-on assignment for someone who has independently delivered budgeting and forecasting cycles and can quickly translate a brief into action. You will work closely with commercial stakeholders to gather and challenge inputs, build robust financial models and drive the project through to completion. The existing finance team will provide business context and support as you get up to speed. You will bring the technical expertise and judgement to establish priorities, resolve gaps and deliver with minimal direction.
Key responsibilities...
- Take ownership of the budgeting and forecasting project, coordinating stakeholder inputs, managing priorities and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Partner with commercial teams to understand business drivers, challenge assumptions and consolidate financial information.
- Prepare and adapt planning templates, ensuring inputs are accurate, complete and consistent.
- Independently build, update and refine financial models, including scenario modelling to assess potential business outcomes.
- Analyse performance and variances to inform budget assumptions and forecast recommendations.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, translating analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Communicate progress, findings and recommendations to commercial and finance stakeholders.
- Work with local and overseas finance colleagues to ensure outputs meet business requirements.
About you...
- Extensive hands-on FP&A; experience, with strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Experience in a multinational setting, ideally within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, FMCG or a similar product-based industry.
- A proven track record of independently owning and delivering budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to build and adapt complex financial models.
- Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to question assumptions, influence stakeholders and follow through on outstanding inputs.
- Comfortable working with incomplete information and changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and momentum.
- Able to quickly understand a business and contribute with minimal supervision.
- Available to start at short notice and commit to the full assignment.
How to apply...
Your application will be reviewed by Francesca Strange, Specialist Manager.
