We're looking for a passionate, patient-focused Optometrist who loves what they do and wants to make a genuine difference to people's vision and long-term eye health. This is about more than conducting eye examinations: it's about building relationships, earning trust and ensuring every patient leaves feeling informed, confident and well cared for.
You'll have the clinical independence to make the right decisions for your patients, backed by a supportive practice team and a wider skilled network, and an incredible prospect to travel across the state as this is a 'mobile' or travelling role!
Your days will look like this...:
- Deliver high-quality eye examinations, assessments and evidence-based clinical care.
- Provide clear, confident recommendations and practical vision solutions tailored to each patient's needs.
- Build lasting patient relationships through outstanding communication, care and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, appropriate recalls and professional standards.
- Work closely with the Practice Manager and dispensing team to deliver a seamless patient experience.
- Contribute to practice growth through patient retention, referrals and community engagement.
- Support and mentor colleagues, sharing your knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture.
And what we need for you, is...:
- An APHRA registered & practicing Optometrist with incredible professional credentials.
- Minimum 2 years experience
- A genuine passion for patient care, optical fashions and clinical excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Confidence making independent clinical decisions and recommendations.
- A team-oriented approach and the ability to work alongside a wider practice team.
- An interest in ongoing professional development and contributing to a thriving practice.
- The ability to travel extensively to support multiple stores: either across the top or bottom of the state!
