Your new role
As a Roofer, you will play a key role in the installation, repair and maintenance of roofing systems across a variety of projects. This is a hands-on position involving roofing maintenance, leak repairs, roof replacements and new roofing installations.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you will assist with ensuring roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installation and replacement of metal roofing, cladding and flashings
- Roof maintenance, inspections and leak detection works
- Carrying out roof repairs and defect rectification
- Gutter, downpipe and drainage system installation and repairs
- Roof sheet removal and replacement
- Measuring, cutting and fitting roofing materials
- Installation of insulation, sarking and roof safety systems
- Working at heights in accordance with safety procedures
- Operating power tools and roofing equipment safely
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
- Undertaking manual handling and physically demanding work
What you'll need to succeed
- Trade qualification in Roofing (desirable)
- Previous experience in roofing maintenance, repairs or installation
- Experience working with metal roofing and cladding systems
- Solid understanding of roofing safety requirements and safe work practices
- Working at Heights certification
- White Card (essential)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitude
