About the Role

Apex XI Barber Co is looking for motivated and experienced Barbers to join our growing team in Forest Lake, Brisbane. We are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for barbering, a strong eye for detail and the ability to deliver personalised grooming services to a diverse range of clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing a variety of barbering services, from contemporary haircuts and precision fades to traditional shaving and beard grooming.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Barber, your responsibilities will include:

- Consulting with clients to discuss their desired hairstyles, grooming preferences and suitable styling options.
- Assessing clients' hair condition, texture and facial features to recommend appropriate haircuts and grooming styles.
- Performing a variety of haircuts, including classic cuts, contemporary styles, fades, tapers and precision trimming.
- Using scissors, clippers, razors and other barbering equipment to achieve the desired haircut and finish.
- Shaving and grooming facial hair, including trimming, shaping and styling beards and moustaches.
- Performing traditional hot towel shaves and other facial grooming services.
- Washing, conditioning and treating clients' hair using appropriate hair care products.
- Applying styling products and finishing techniques to achieve the desired appearance.
- Providing basic scalp,



facial and neck massages as part of the overall grooming experience.
- Maintaining, cleaning and sterilising barbering tools, equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Monitoring stock levels of barbering products and maintaining an organised workstation.
- Building rapport with clients and providing professional advice on hair maintenance and grooming routines.
- Assisting with the training and supervision of apprentices and junior staff where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have a minimum of 1–2 years' relevant barbering experience.
- Demonstrate strong skills in both modern and traditional barbering techniques.
- Be confident performing haircuts, fades, tapers, beard trimming and shaping, styling and hot towel shaves.
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to clients' individual grooming requirements.
- Take pride in your work and maintain high standards of quality, presentation, cleanliness and hygiene.
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Have a skilled, friendly and positive attitude.
- Be able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for barbering.
- Be willing to share knowledge and provide guidance to apprentices and trainees where required.
