Your new role
As a Trade Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting qualified tradespeople across a range of projects. This is a hands-on position involving site preparation, material handling, general labouring and assisting with installation and maintenance works.
Working both independently and as part of a team, you will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting tradespeople with maintenance, repair and installation works
- Loading, unloading and moving materials, tools and equipment
- Site preparation and set-up activities
- Assisting with assembling, installing and dismantling equipment
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Completing general labouring and manual handling duties
- Maintaining clean, protected and organised worksites
- Assisting with deliveries and stock control
- Supporting construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects
- Following site safety procedures and work instructions
- Identifying and reporting hazards and safety concerns
- Undertaking physically demanding work in various environments
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or in a similar role
- Experience using hand and power tools
- White Card (essential)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitude
- Forklift Licence, EWP or other tickets (highly regarded)
