Are you an experienced collections professional looking for your next prospect within financial services?
We are currently seeking a Collections Officer to join a growing financial services business specialising in premium funding. This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit and supportive team, working across a varied portfolio within a fast-paced collections environment.This is a predominantly phone-based position, so we are looking for someone who is confident speaking with customers, comfortable navigating challenging conversations and able to balance positive customer outcomes with effective collections activity.
About the businessOur client is a growing premium finance provider that works closely with insurance and finance brokers, helping their clients fund eligible insurance premiums through structured instalment arrangements.The business supports brokers and their customers throughout the funding process, including premium notices, renewal deadlines and more complex funding matters.Previous experience within premium finance would therefore be highly regarded. Candidates with strong collections experience from broader financial services, lending or insurance environments are also encouraged to apply.
The roleWorking within a busy collections team, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of overdue accounts
- Making outbound collections calls and handling inbound customer enquiries
- Discussing outstanding balances and payment arrangements with customers
- Managing dishonoured payments and payment follow-ups
- Supporting end-to-end collections and recovery processes




- Conducting skip tracing where required
- Managing broker refunds
- Issuing and managing default notices
- Working with external administrators and liquidation matters
- Assisting with statutory demand processes
- Maintaining accurate records and account notes
- Managing a busy workload within a fast-paced environment

About youTo be successful in this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in collections, arrears or recoveries
- Premium finance experience would be highly regarded
- Experience within financial services, lending or insurance collections would also be advantageous
- Robust experience working in a phone-based environment
- A confident, professional and clear phone manner
- The resilience to manage challenging collections conversations
- Robust attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to effectively manage a busy portfolio and competing priorities
- Exposure to dishonours, skip tracing, default notices, Equifax listings or broader recovery processes would be highly regarded
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit team
