Join a purpose-driven organisation and make an impact in the lives of Older Australians.
Masonic Care WA is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation, delivering Residential Aged Care, Retirement Living, and Rental Accommodation across both metropolitan and regional WA. With over 100 years of service, our values—Empowerment, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, Safety, and Improvement—guide everything we do. Our purpose is simple: to build communities where people live with dignity, feel safe, and are truly valued.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to lead the program at our Middle Swan Residential Care home. You’ll get to know residents, find out what they enjoy and what they’d like to keep doing, and use that knowledge to shape a program that supports their social and emotional wellbeing.
You’ll work with residents and the multidisciplinary team to plan group activities and one-to-one opportunities. You’ll also guide and support the Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants and take an active role in delivering the program.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan, organise and deliver activities that reflect residents’ interests, routines, abilities and preferences.
- Involve residents in shaping the program, respect their choices about how they take part and adapt activities as their needs and interests change.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and practical support to Leisure and Lifestyle Assistants.
- Manage the lifestyle budget and make sure activity spaces are well maintained,
with the equipment and supplies needed to run the program.
- Respond to residents’ day-to-day requests with care and flexibility, and assist with daily living tasks in line with their agreed support plans.
- Notice and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional wellbeing to the appropriate team members.
- Respect residents’ rights, dignity and privacy in all aspects of your work.
What we’re looking for
- Experience planning and delivering leisure and lifestyle programs in residential aged care or a similar setting.
- The ability to lead and support a team while staying involved in day-to-day program delivery.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate an activity calendar and manage resources and a budget.
- A warm, respectful approach and the ability to build relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- The ability to work independently, collaborate with the wider care team and adapt plans when residents’ needs change.
Why Join Us?
At Masonic Care WA, we offer more than just a job:
- A friendly and values-driven team culture
- Competitive remuneration
- Salary packaging options of up to $18,550 p.a.
- A positive, collaborative workplace
- A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older Australians
