Boilermaker / Fitter for Site

As a full-time Site Boilermaker / fitter at Boneyard Fabrications, you'll play a vital role in being part of the team that ensures projects are run smoothly and efficiently both on site and in the workshop when required. As we are growing we require another 2 x boilermakers or fitters to join the team. This Wollongong based Role but open to people willing to travel - fully maintained vehicle provided for all travel

What you'll be doing

- Carry out hands-on fabrication and welding tasks to the highest standards using a range of specialised equipment
- On site mechanical fitting work including works on conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps and other associated machinery in the quarry and mining sector
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide the fabrication process
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise, implementing effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety procedures and quality control measures
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to more junior team members
- Liase with clients to complete the projects to the highest standards they expect
- Installation of structural steel and balustrades

What we're looking for

- Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or fitter or relevant experience
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in metal fabrication, welding and assembly techniques MIG, TIG and STICK




- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Sound understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Positive, collaborative attitude and effective communication skills
- DOGGING, RIGGING, WAH highly regarded along with TIG welding experience
