Expressway Spares is looking for an experienced, full-time Transmission Rebuild Mechanic to join the team in our modern, purpose-built facility in High Wycombe.

Our workshop is fitted out with massive 7x8 metre work bays, 2tonne swing cranes in each bay, and 10 and 20 tonne overhead cranes. New tooling and equipment, such as a Large 200 tonne rolling bed press. T6 & T7 Turbowash machines, Acid Bath and a large indoor wash pad.

The Role

Predominantly working on Caterpillar transmissions, including off highway trucks, dozers, loaders and graders.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and participate in a safe work environment

- Dismantling components for the purpose of:





- strip down inspection

- repair assessment

- reporting

- parts assessment utilising OEM software equivalents such as SIS

- failure analysis

- improvement recommendations

- Assembly of the reconditioned components while:

- using safe work and OEM methods

- completing QC documentation

- production of quality product with expectation of extended life

Desirable:

- Experience in Caterpillar Transmission rebuilds

- Trade qualification

- OEM systems operating experience

- Valid driver’s licence

- Current forklift ticket

- Able to complete a pre-employment medical
