The Company

A major trans-Tasman freight forwarding and logistics provider is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join its Sydney operation.

Specialising in international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing and supply chain solutions, the business continues to expand across Australia and New Zealand while maintaining a strong reputation for customer service and operational excellence.

The Position

Reporting to the Client Services Manager, this is a 100% account management role with no business development requirements.

You will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of major freight forwarding customers, ensuring they remain informed, supported and engaged throughout the movement of their shipments.

Working closely with operations, management and customers, you will oversee day-to-day account activity, coordinate freight requirements and maintain strong client relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer engagement, problem solving and managing key accounts within an international freight forwarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of key freight forwarding customers
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for major accounts
- Provide shipment updates and supply chain visibility
- Coordinate airfreight, sea freight and logistics requirements
- Liaise with customers, operational teams and senior management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and customer information
- Resolve service issues and deliver proactive solutions




- Build long-term customer relationships and account retention
- Support customer onboarding and implementation activities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery

About You

You are an experienced freight forwarding professional who understands import/export operations and enjoys building strong customer relationships.

You thrive in fast-paced logistics environments and are confident dealing directly with customers while coordinating with internal teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Skills & Experience

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar freight forwarding or client services role
- Strong knowledge of import and export procedures
- Experience coordinating international and domestic freight movements
- Sound understanding of sea freight and ocean freight operations
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication ability
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to service delivery
