Senior Architect & Experienced Graduate Architect

Are you looking for a new role that excites you, with real growth in a leading architecture firm? We would love to begin a conversation with you about these current opportunities within our design team at Arkular, based in Richmond, Melbourne.

The Role - Senior Architect and experienced Graduate Architect: This is a hands-on role with real ownership over your projects and output, perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career and help shape the future of sustainable, modular design in Australia.

Arkular is an award-winning modular architectural studio creating beautiful, sustainable homes throughout Australia. We believe great architecture should be both inspiring and accessible, combining innovative prefabrication with thoughtful design to create homes that respond to the Australian landscape.

We are looking for someone passionate about great design, technical excellence, and creating an outstanding client experience. Someone who takes pride in project delivery, communicates confidently with clients and consultants, and works collaboratively.

Projects: We're delivering an amazing blend of premium projects across the East Coast, from small to large passive-designed modular homes to eco retreats in stunning remote locations. You will work across all project stages, guiding ideas from concept through to construction, supported by a great team.

Key Requirements

- 5+ years' experience (local experience preferred)

- Strong design and documentation skills

- Proficiency in ArchiCAD (or willingness to learn)

- Excellent technical knowledge, including the NCC, Australian Standards and consultant coordination

- Experience across residential and/or commercial projects

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A collaborative mindset and a drive to create meaningful, buildable architecture

What We Offer

- A clear path for career growth and leadership

- A studio culture that values collaboration, creativity and initiative

- Competitive salary, plus the chance to make your mark

- Full-time role based in the office; however, flexibility may be considered after the probation period

- Work that's design-focused, environmentally responsive and purpose-driven

- A vibrant, light-filled current office with Long Street Café (and great coffee!) right next door

About Arkular: Arkular is not your typical architecture practice. We combine high design with progressive modular construction methods to create smarter, more sustainable outcomes. If you care about what you're building and want to be part of a studio that's pushing boundaries, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply: Please send your CV, portfolio and a short cover letter outlining why this role excites you and why you'd be a great fit for Arkular to Christine at *****@arkular.com
