So, what's the role?
We're looking for an experienced Finance and Payroll Officer to take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration that keeps Penfield Food Co running smoothly.

Working autonomously within a small, supportive team, you'll enjoy a wide-ranging role with the opportunity to contribute to reporting and business improvements as the company grows.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Accounts payable: Managing invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and preparing payments for approval.
- Payroll: Processing weekly payroll for approximately 14 employees, including timesheets, leave entitlements and employee records.
- Accounts receivable: Providing support with invoicing, customer accounts and payment enquiries, particularly on Fridays and during leave periods.
- Financial administration: Completing data entry, bank reconciliations, month-end processes and maintaining accurate records in MYOB AccountRight.
- Business reporting: Preparing reports on cost of goods, sales performance and other financial information to support business decisions.
- General office support: Assisting with phone enquiries and administration, alongside providing information to the external accountant for financial reporting and compliance.

You'll have the independence to manage your responsibilities, with support from an external accountant, bookkeeper and accounts receivable team member.





What are we looking for?
You're an experienced accounts professional who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working independently and can be relied upon to keep things running smoothly. You're comfortable managing competing priorities and appreciate the collaborative, hands-on nature of a family business.

You'll bring:

- Proven experience in accounts, bookkeeping or a similar finance administration role.
- Confidence managing accounts payable, payroll and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in MYOB AccountRight and Excel, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- A proactive, practical approach and friendly communication style.

Experience in FMCG or manufacturing, along with an interest in financial reporting and analysis, would be an advantage.

Formal qualifications aren't essential. We're looking for someone with the right experience, attitude and ability to become a valued member of the team.
