Build your portfolio on some of Australia’s biggest infrastructure projects

Road & Civil Surveys (RCS) is an infrastructure surveying company with around 50 staff. We deliver construction surveying, utility locating, concrete scanning, 3D laser scanning and drone services to major contractors on major road, rail, water and energy projects across NSW, QLD, VIC and the ACT.

We’ve built our reputation on referrals for ten years. Now we are building our online presence to match the quality of our work, and we’re looking for one person to own our content from start to finish.

The role

Most of the work is editing founder-led content: our industry podcast and to-camera videos, cut into short clips for social. We’ll supply the recordings and the gear, and you’ll make them sharp, captioned and easy to watch.

You’ll also be out on site capturing real project work, and creating the graphics that go with it. You’ll work directly with our Managing Director, two to three days a week. The days are versatile and can be set around your schedule.

What you’ll do

- Edit long-form YouTube videos and podcast episodes, and cut them into short vertical clips with captions and graphics

- Film on site and in the office, capturing crews, drones, scanners and live project work

- Design YouTube thumbnails, podcast artwork, social graphics, job ads and marketing material

- Publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube,



for both the company and the founder’s personal brand

- Update our WordPress website, built in Divi, including project case studies and service pages

- Help track what’s working and what’s bringing in enquiries

What you’ll bring

Essential

- A portfolio showing video editing and graphic design work you’ve created

- Strong video editing skills. We’re open on software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or similar) and can support the right person to learn our setup.

- Graphic design skills in Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar

- A current White Card (General Construction Induction), or willingness to get one before starting

Highly regarded

- Podcast or audio editing experience

- WordPress experience, ideally Divi

- Writing skills and a working knowledge of SEO

- Construction, engineering or B2B experience
