About the role

Architectural Roofing And Wall Cladding Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator / Sheetmetal Worker to join our manufacturing team. This is a full-time position based in Hornsby, NSW. In this role, you will operate and maintain Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery whilst performing sheetmetal work to produce high-quality architectural roofing and wall cladding components. You will be integral to our production operations, ensuring precision, efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

- Operating CNC machines to cut, bend and form sheetmetal components according to specifications and drawings

- Setting up CNC machines, including tool changes, calibration and programming adjustments as required

- Performing manual sheetmetal work, including cutting, bending, folding and assembly of components

- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to ensure optimal production quality

- Conducting regular maintenance and cleaning of CNC machinery and workstations

- Inspecting finished products for accuracy, defects and quality compliance

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings

- Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets

- Adhering to all health, safety and environmental workplace standards

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator and/or Sheetmetal Worker, ideally in architectural, construction or manufacturing industries

- Competency in operating CNC machines, including setting up and basic troubleshooting

- Strong knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication techniques and processes

- Experience in light gauge metal fabrication

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications





- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision

- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and gauges

- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and operate machinery safely

- Reliable, punctual and committed to meeting production deadlines

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team setting

- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working workplace

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in CNC operation or sheetmetal work (preferred)

- Previous experience with roofing or cladding products is advantageous
