Civil Leading Hand – Temp to Perm Opportunity
We’re currently seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join a well-established civil contractor delivering quality subdivision and civil construction projects across the Brisbane and surrounds.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right person, offering the chance to join a growing and reputable contractor on a long-term basis.

About the Company
Our client is a well-regarded civil contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the region. They specialise in subdivision and civil construction, delivering projects from earthworks and bulk excavation through to roads, drainage, kerbing and associated civil infrastructure.
They’re known for running well-organised sites, maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety, and building a solid team of experienced operators and supervisors.

About the Role
As a Civil Leading Hand, you’ll play a hands-on role in coordinating day-to-day site activities and helping keep projects on programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and coordinating a small civil construction crew
- Assisting with the day-to-day supervision of subdivision works
- Setting out and ensuring works are completed to plans and specifications
- Coordinating plant, materials and labour on site
- Working closely with the Site Supervisor/Foreman
- Ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards are maintained




- Hands-on involvement across earthworks, drainage, roadworks and associated civil works
- Reading and interpreting plans and levels
- Reporting on site progress and identifying any issues

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is experienced in subdivision/civil construction and is ready to step into a Leading Hand role or take their existing experience to the next level.
Ideally, you’ll have:

- Previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand or experienced Civil Operator
- Strong subdivision/civil construction experience
- Good understanding of civil construction processes, levels and plans
- Ability to lead a crew and coordinate site activities
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills
- A solid commitment to safety and quality
- Relevant tickets/licences are highly regarded
