We are currently seeking a graduate HSE Officer / Administrator to be part of the one of WA's largest projects - Tonkin Highway Extension and Thomas Road Upgrade.

This is an prospect for someone looking to build a career in Health and Safety, combining the core administrative requirements of the HSE function with a structured, hands-on development pathway towards an HSE Advisor role.

About the Role

- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HSE team, including reporting, record management, compliance tracking and coordination of HSE activities.

- Work alongside experienced HSE Advisors, gaining practical exposure through site inspections, pre-starts, toolbox meetings and field engagement.

- Develop your ability to identify hazards, assess risks, recommend corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of controls.

- Assist with risk assessments and Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) reviews, developing an understanding of the hierarchy of controls and their practical application.

- Participate in high-risk work inspections and critical control verification activities.

- Support incident investigations, including evidence gathering, identifying contributing factors and developing corrective actions.

- Engage with employees, supervisors and contractors to build effective communication and practical safety management skills.





- Assist with monitoring contractor HSE performance, identifying concerns and supporting appropriate follow-up.

- Develop a working understanding of relevant HSE legislation, project requirements and compliance obligations.

As your knowledge and capability develop, you will progressively take on greater responsibility for field-based HSE activities, working towards the requirements of an HSE Advisor role.

About You

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Occupational, Health, and Safety;

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and to listen actively;

- High attention to detail and strong organisational and administrative skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle

- A genuine passion for positive Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality outcomes.

- Knowledge and understanding of HSEQ systems and processes.

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work within timeframes and deliver agreed targets.

- A proactive approach and willingness to learn from experienced HSEQ professionals and operational teams.
