Duratank builds tough poly rainwater tanks right here in Yarrawonga, Darwin, made for the conditions our customers actually live and work in. We’re looking for a driven Sales Consultant to grow our customer base across the Top End, close deals, and help get the Duratank name in front of the people who need it. The earning potential is uncapped, and you’ll be home every night.

Who we are

Duratank is a Darwin-based poly tank manufacturer supplying rural, agricultural and mining customers across the Top End. We’re a practical, down-to-earth business that values attitude and contribution over titles, and we reward the people who make things happen.

The role

This is a sales role first. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, turn leads into orders, and go out and find new business across the NT, northern Queensland and northern WA. Customers further afield are handled by phone, so apart from a few trade shows a year, you’ll work from our Darwin base. You’ll also have a hand in our marketing, and your customer insight will help shape the products we build next.

What you’ll be doing

Sales

- Being the first point of contact for customer enquiries by phone and email

- Turning marketing leads and your own leads into sales

- Finding new business, including cold calling and building trade and rural networks

- Preparing quotes and following them through to close

- Looking after customers end to end, from first call to delivery

- Building and maintaining our customer database in the CRM

- Forecasting sales and trying current ways to win business

Marketing

- Keeping our website, Facebook and LinkedIn fresh and active

- Helping create ads, brochures and product literature

- Representing Duratank at trade shows each year

Growing the business





- Feeding back what customers need so we can develop the right products

- Spotting new markets and opportunities for Duratank

What you’ll bring

- 4+ years in sales, business development or a similar role

- A track record of closing deals and growing a customer base

- Experience selling to rural, agricultural, mining or trade customers is a big plus

- Great follow-up. You don’t let a quote go cold.

- Confident selling over the phone, and just as good face to face on a show stand

- Experience with a CRM or ERP system and strong computer skills

- A creative eye for marketing and social media

- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently

- A current driver licence

- A business or marketing qualification is a plus
