Laboratory Analyst

Heritage Minerals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our Processing Plant Laboratory team at the historic Mount Morgan Gold Mine.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing operation and contribute to the successful restart of one of Queensland's most iconic gold mining sites.

Working on a permanent 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will play an important role in supporting the Chemist and laboratory team through accurate sample preparation, routine analysis and quality control. Your work will directly contribute to reliable processing results, operational performance and informed site decision-making.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates based in Mount Morgan, Rockhampton and surrounding Central Queensland communities, as well as those willing to relocate for the opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing

- Prepare, label and process samples for laboratory analysis.
- Conduct routine chemical analysis and assist with fire assay and wet chemistry procedures.
- Operate, monitor and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Support the Chemist with daily laboratory operations and analytical testing.
- Maintain accurate records, laboratory data and reporting.
- Follow established QA/QC procedures to ensure reliable and consistent results.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment.




- Work collaboratively with the laboratory and processing teams to support operational requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Qualification in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, Environmental Science or a related discipline (desirable).
- Previous laboratory experience, preferably within mining, mineral processing or an industrial environment.
- Understanding of laboratory testing procedures, sample preparation and quality control.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.
- A proactive approach to safety, procedures and housekeeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of undertaking manual handling tasks.
- Current driver's licence (desirable).
