About the role
A chance to join a highly respected industry leader in agri-environmental sustainability, working on diverse projects across Australia and the globe.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Chief Scientist, you will lead a small team of Consultants and Analysts in Toowoomba and Victoria, and have real influence over the direction of the client portfolio.
You will own client relationships, providing science-based advice and reporting that supports commercial production and sustainability, including meeting the requirements of mandatory climate reporting under AASB S2. Many of our livestock, processing and agribusiness clients need to be ready in the next wave of reporting.
You will lead key corporate client engagements from project kick-off and materiality assessment through to GHG inventories and audit-ready climate statements, and deliver LCA and carbon work for red-meat, feedlot, grazing, integrators and dairy clients.
Principal level. For an otherwise strong candidate with less experience than the role requires, we may offer a Associate Principal appointment with a pathway to Principal.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow the client portfolio: win proposals, shape and deliver work with agribusinesses, processors, levy bodies and supply-chain partners, and own the results.
- Build up and deliver our Climate & Sustainability Reporting portfolio for AASB S2, including governance, risk, materiality and GHG inventories and manage quality and sign-off of reports to ensure they stand up to assurance.
- Work with clients to achieve meaningful practice change to reduce net emissions, both in large businesses, and in smaller supplier businesses.
- Provide leadership and advice across livestock and production sustainability, keeping our GHG accounting and mitigation advice defensible and audit-ready.
- Lead,
coach and strengthen your team to reach positive results — setting the direction and achieving KPIs.
- Represent Integrity Ag as a trusted advisor to industry, regulators and assurance providers.
- Lead and reinforce Integrity Ag processes for project management and quality assurance, delivering technical work within timeline, budget and quality requirements.
- Actively represent Integrity Ag’s values of Integrity, Innovation and Care, in all that you do.
About you
ESSENTIAL
- A degree in agribusiness, economics, accounting, agricultural science, environmental science or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in sustainability reporting, climate science or environmental accounting is highly regarded.
- A track record in professional services leading client relationships, proposals and revenue growth in consulting or agribusiness advisory.
- Experience in GHG accounting or similar areas, project delivery in livestock systems, and with AASB S2 / IFRS S2 and assurance; or a strong adjacent base, such as corporate sustainability reporting or audit, that you can build on.
- People leadership: setting team direction, coaching, and holding others to commitments while keeping strong relationships.
- Commercial and economic literacy, and confident communication with boards, corporate clients, scientific peers and producers.
DESIRABLE
- CA or CPA with a sustainability specialisation, GRI certification or other relevant credentials.
- Experience signing off on climate or sustainability reports for assurance.
You will thrive if..
- You enjoy partnering with clients and colleagues, and you follow through on what you promise.
- You are equally at home in front of clients in a corporate boardroom, talking to producers on-farm, or reviewing a technical report, and you have the expertise and judgement to sign off work that goes to auditors.
- You have interests or experience in animal nutrition and animal production.
- You get energy from turning a successful proposal into work a client can act on, and you care about the evidence.
- You excel in a consulting and project-based environment and workflow, with the capacity to set your work program, adhering to budget and milestone delivery.
- You have a proven ability to be self-sufficient, to prioritise important tasks and meet deadlines
- You have a can-do attitude, take a proactive approach to your work, and are focused on finding solutions.
- You love leading a team and working with team members, enabling them to succeed together and individually.
- You enjoy learning on the job and taking on new challenges and can see tasks through to completion on time and to a high standard.
