About the Roles

We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused crew members to join our team based at Maxibor’s head office and depot in Jacobs Well, Queensland.

The successful applicants will work on HDD and civil infrastructure projects primarily throughout the Logan area and surrounding parts of South East Queensland. From time to time, there may also be opportunities to work on projects in other locations.

Opportunities are available for:

- Civil labourers
- Plant and excavator operators
- HR truck drivers
- NDD operators
- HDD tracking personnel
- HDD rig operators and drilling personnel

The duties allocated to each successful applicant will reflect their qualifications, licences and previous experience.

Key Responsibilities





Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

- Following Maxibor’s health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
- Assisting with site establishment, mobilisation and demobilisation
- Locating and working safely around underground utility services
- Operating non-destructive digging equipment
- Operating excavators, trucks and other civil construction plant
- Supporting HDD drilling and tracking operations
- Assisting with the installation of pits, pipes and associated infrastructure
- Completing excavation, site preparation and reinstatement activities
- Performing general civil construction and labouring duties
- Conducting pre-start inspections and maintaining equipment
- Completing required site and project documentation
- Working effectively with supervisors and other members of the project team

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

- Construction Industry White Card
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of a site-based construction role
- Reliability and willingness to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work the hours required by the project
- Reliable transport to Maxibor’s Jacobs Well depot or allocated project sites

An HR truck licence and experience working or excavating around live underground services will be required for positions involving those responsibilities.

Highly Regarded





The following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded but are not required for every crew position:

- HR or higher-class truck licence
- Excavator or other relevant plant competencies
- Experience operating HDD rigs or supporting HDD operations
- HDD tracking experience
- NDD or vacuum excavation experience
- Experience working around live underground services
- Pit and pipe installation experience
- Civil construction, utilities or pipeline experience
- Relevant high-risk work licences or other construction tickets
- First aid and CPR qualifications
