Central Safety and Workwear is a leading B2B supplier of premium safety equipment, PPE, and corporate workwear. We help protect Australian workers by providing high-quality uniforms customized with their company branding. Our in-house print production room gets incredibly busy keeping up with major corporate orders, and we are looking for reliable casuals to help us manage our peak production periods.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on, energetic Print Room Assistant on a casual, as-needed basis to assist with prepping and heat-pressing logos onto a wide variety of workwear, hi-vis gear, and corporate apparel.

This role offers excellent flexibility. Hours will fluctuate based on our order volumes, making it perfect for someone looking to supplement their income, work around other commitments, or step into a busy production environment during peak times. You will operate commercial heat press machinery, ensuring every logo is perfectly aligned, applied, and quality-checked before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate commercial heat press machines to apply logos and transfers onto garments.

Prepare digital transfers or vinyl logos, ensuring they match client-approved artwork proofs.





Quality-check incoming plain stock garments against work orders for correct sizing and colorways.

Conduct strict quality control on finished branded apparel to ensure flawless adhesion and correct placement.

Count, fold, pack, and organize completed branded garments ready for warehouse dispatch.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe print room production environment.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience operating a heat press apparel branding, or signage production is highly regarded (but not essential—full training provided!).

Exceptional attention to detail with an eye for straight alignment and centering logos.

Strong physical stamina—comfortable standing for extended periods and handling repetitive manual tasks in a fast-paced workplace.

High reliability and flexibility to step in and assist on an as-needed/on-call basis.

Good communication skills with the ability to accurately read and follow production work orders.
