Based in our clients head office in Inverness this is a fully office based role. The Senior Finance Manager will play a key leadership role within our clients finance function, overseeing financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and financial control across a diverse portfolio of businesses.Working closely with the Group CFO, senior leadership and finance leads, the role will provide accurate and meaningful financial information to support decision-making, business performance and sustainable growth.The role will take ownership of portfolio reporting, strengthen financial controls and governance, provide commercial insight and support the integration of newly acquired businesses.### Key Responsibilities* Financial Reporting & Planning* Lead the monthly reporting and consolidation process across the portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely and consistent financial information.* Oversee management accounts and reporting packs for senior management and the Board.* Analyse performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key trends, variances, risks and opportunities.* Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans.* Maintain strong balance sheet control, including reconciliations, intercompany accounting and group recharges.* Drive improvements in the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.* Cash, Treasury & Working Capital* Oversee cash flow reporting and working capital management.* Provide clear visibility of cash and funding requirements across the portfolio.* Develop appropriate treasury processes and controls and manage group banking relationships.* Monitor cash conversion, debtor performance and aged debt, working with businesses to improve cash generation.* Controls, Governance & Finance Systems* Maintain and strengthen financial controls,



accounting procedures and governance standards.* Ensure consistent application of group finance policies and reporting requirements.* Identify financial risks and control weaknesses and drive appropriate improvements.* Coordinate year-end reporting and external audit requirements.* Support improvements to finance systems, reporting automation and finance processes.* Acquisitions & Integration* Support the financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired businesses.* Review existing finance processes, systems, controls and reporting arrangements and identify areas requiring improvement.* Align acquired businesses with group reporting, accounting policies, controls and budgeting processes.* Support systems integration, opening balances and intercompany arrangements.* Business Partnering & Leadership* Build strong relationships with business leaders, finance teams and operational stakeholders across the portfolio.* Provide commercial financial insight and constructive challenge to improve performance, profitability and cash generation.* Support finance teams in strengthening reporting quality and financial discipline.* Lead and contribute to finance improvement projects and wider group initiatives.* Experience & Qualifications* Essential* ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent skilled accountancy qualification.* Significant finance management experience, ideally within a multi-entity group or portfolio environment.* Strong experience in management reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.* Strong understanding of cash flow, working capital, balance sheet management and financial controls.* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems and reporting tools.* Desirable* Experience within a group finance function supporting multiple businesses or legal entities.* M&A;, post-acquisition integration or finance transformation experience.* Experience of treasury, banking relationships and group funding arrangements.* Exposure to statutory reporting, external audit and lender reportingTo apply for this job please visit .#### Location
