Zeel Kitchens is looking for an organised and accurate Finance Manager to manage the company’s day-to-day finances. You’ll handle bookkeeping, payroll, cash flow, project costs and financial reporting, working closely with the General Manager, CFO and project managers.

What you’ll do

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payment runs and debtor follow-up.

Process weekly payroll and check timesheets before each pay run.

Keep project budgets and costs up to date.

Check purchase orders against approved budgets and put issues on hold for review.

Raise client invoices, progress claims and approved variations promptly.

Track project variations, subcontractor costs and retention payments.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payroll and accounting records.

Complete month-end tasks and prepare reports for the CFO.

Prepare BAS and other financial information for review and lodgement.

Keep finance procedures and compliance deadlines up to date.

About you

You have:

At least three years’ bookkeeping experience, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable,



and bank reconciliations.

Experience with project costing and budgets, ideally in construction, manufacturing or a similar business.

Good Excel skills and confidence using accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking that figures reconcile.

Transparent communication skills and confidence following up on missing information.

The ability to manage deadlines and raise problems early.

Experience with Jobman, Connecteam, construction progress claims, variations and retentions is an advantage. A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or Registered BAS Agent status is also valued.

What success looks like

Payroll, invoices and financial reports are accurate and on time.

Project budgets and costs are current and any potential overruns are raised early.

Cash flow is monitored and financial records are reconciled.

The General Manager and CFO receive reliable information to support business decisions.
