About the role
Iannace Refrigerated Transport is seeking a dedicated HR & WHS Co-ordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Magill, SA 5072, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organisational culture and workplace safety. As HR & WHS Co-ordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting our human resources operations and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards across our transport and refrigeration services. This position is essential to maintaining our commitment to employee wellbeing and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Co-ordinating and administering HR processes including recruitment support, onboarding, employee records management and leave administration
Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures aligned with relevant legislation
Co-ordinating workplace health and safety initiatives, risk assessments and incident reporting
Assisting with workplace health and safety training and induction programmes for all staff members
Monitoring compliance with workplace health and safety legislation and regulations
Liaising with management and employees on HR and WHS matters
Maintaining accurate HR and WHS records and documentation
Supporting employee relations activities and workplace culture initiatives
Assisting with workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programmes
Providing administrative support to HR and management functions as required
What we’re looking for
Relevant qualifications or certification in Human Resources or Workplace Health and Safety (Certificate IV or equivalent preferred)
Demonstrated experience in an HR co-ordinator or similar HR support role, or WHS co-ordinator position
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, workplace relations and workers' compensation requirements
Understanding of workplace health and safety principles, hazard identification and risk management
Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR management systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive personnel and safety matters
The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting
Experience in the transport or logistics industry would be advantageous
