Cambooya is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accountant to join our experienced finance team.

You will work closely with an experienced finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting and accounts payable activities while gaining exposure to different financial systems, processes and business operations.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail and is eager to learn and take on new responsibilities as they develop.

About the Role

Working across multiple entities, you will support a variety of accounting and finance activities, with an initial focus on Accounts Payable.

- Processing and coding supplier invoices, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
- Assisting with accounts payable activities, including invoice approvals, supplier payments and payment processing.
- Supporting bank, credit card and supplier account reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with general ledger entries, account coding and GST transactions.
- Responding to supplier and internal stakeholder enquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Working with accounting and finance systems, including Xero, MYOB and other business platforms.
- Supporting month-end processes, reporting and other general accounting activities.
- Assisting the finance team with audit requests and financial administration.




- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working as you become familiar with the role.
- As you develop your skills and confidence, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and broaden your accounting experience.

About You

You may be a recent accounting graduate, currently completing your accounting qualifications or someone with some experience in an Accounts Payable or finance administration role who is looking to take the next step.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

- A completed or partially completed qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
- Some exposure to Accounts Payable, bookkeeping or general accounting activities, although graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and GST.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new accounting systems.
- Valuable communication skills and a qualified approach to working with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- A willingness to ask questions,



take feedback and continue developing your skills.
- A positive attitude, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn and genuinely interested in building a career in accounting.
