About the role

Catering Assistants work closely with the kitchen team assisting with food preparation & cleaning tasks.

The main shifts are 6:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday. Additional hours including some nights and weekends are required depending on business requirements.

This role is open to part-time and full time employment opportunities depending on applicant requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- Open driver's license (preferred but not mandatory).
- Physically fit.
- High level of cleanliness.
- 1yrs experience in a commercial kitchen completing food preparation tasks.

Primary Duties

- Prepare sandwiches and complete related preparation tasks.
- Complete food preparation tasks under the guidance of the Sous Chefs.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.

Secondary Duties





- Operate a commercial dishwasher.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery & glassware.
- Assist with kitchen duties as requested by the Head Chef.
- Provide an exemplary level of customer service.
- Load catering vans with food orders, beverages & equipment and perform deliveries to client sites.
- Ensure food safety records are maintained.
- Work as part of a cohesive kitchen team.
- Large airconditioned kitchen with convenient parking.
- Consistent roster.
