Position Overview

Enter The Role

This isn’t a typical customer service role, because Activate isn’t a typical venue.

As a Game Facilitator, you’ll be at the centre of the action. You’ll welcome customers, guide them through their experience, keep the games running smoothly and make sure every player leaves with a great story to tell.

You’ll bring energy, confidence and enthusiasm to every interaction, helping customers understand the games, supporting them through challenges and creating an experience they won’t forget.

If you enjoy working with people, solving problems and being part of a fast paced environment, this role is for you.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Store Operations

- Welcome customers and create a positive first impression from the moment they arrive.
- Guide players through check in and explain how their Activate experience works.
- Deliver clear and engaging game briefings before customers enter the game
- Answer customers questions and provide support whenever it’s needed.
- Work collaboratively with other Game Facilitators and leaders to keep each shift running smoothly.
- Support busy periods, corporate groups, events and special experiences.
- Bring positive energy and a team first attitude to every shift.




- Be willing to jump in wherever needed to help create an amazing customer experience.

Customer Experience

- Monitor gameplay and ensure customers have a safe, fun and engaging experience.
- Encourage, motivate and celebrate customers as they compete and complete challenges.
- Support players during games by providing guidance and assistance when required.
- Identify and report game issues or malfunctions quickly.
- Work with leaders to troubleshoot challenges and keep rooms in top shape.
- Help reset rooms and prepare the venue for the next group of players.

Maintenance, Technology & Inventory

- Maintain a clean, welcoming and customer ready environment.
- Support venue presentation, including cleaning, testing equipment and maintaining customer areas.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as equipment touch ups and minor repairs.
- Support inventory checks and communicate any issues to the leadership team.
- Follow Activate standards and procedures to ensure a consistent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer facing environment such as entertainment, hospitality, retail or fitness (desired).
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Practical problem solving mindset with confidence troubleshooting issues.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
- A technical background is not required. We’re looking for someone who is curious, capable and enjoys figuring things out.
