COOK required for a well-established Australian business “AMYOUN NOMINEES PTY LTD” T/A “CHAPELLI’S” located at 571 Chapel Street, South Yarra VIC 3141. Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as a COOK in an Italian/Modern Australian cuisine. Duties include.

- Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood dishes.
- Undertake pre-cooking preparations such as washing, trimming, carving, chopping, peeling, cutting, stirring, mixing, mincing, grilling, and boiling foods such as various meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per restaurant’s food recipes or personal judgment.
- Prepare food according to cultural and dietary needs of the customers.
- Portioning the food & seasoning of food using various spices.
- Assist chef/head chef in estimating food & labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
- Discussing food preparation issues with chef/head chef/manager and other kitchen staff.
- Examining of food by tasting it.
- Ensuring the food is of high quality and well presented.




- Handling and labelling stored goods
- Controlling and regulating oven temperature
- Showing good organisation in his workload, prioritizing tasks.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the food service area.
- Follow workplace health & safety procedures.

In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package 80K - 85K (Plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the chance to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in Asian/commercial cookery) and with 1 - 2 years of practical experience working as a Cook (Preferable – Italian/Modern Australian) will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, public holidays & late shifts).
