The Trustee for RAJPUT FAMILY TRUST – Herne Hill VIC

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our busy kitchen. The business is located in a busy area of Geelong (Herne Hill). We are starting a continental food business, so we require someone experienced who loves the food and brings taste to this passion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing consistent quality food, and is looking for a Monday to Friday role with optional weekend work. The successful applicant will confidently manage the kitchen, with 3 other staff members assisting throughout.

Key responsibilities

- Confidently cooking a full menu during busy hours
- Responsible for introducing signature dishes of south asian cuisine
- Ability to change the menu or introduce recent dishes
- Must be able to do cost analysis of ingredients and dishes




- Managing prep, service and food quality throughout the day
- Maintaining consistency, presentation and portion control
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Working efficiently under pressure
- Assisting with ordering, prep and keeping the kitchen running smoothly

About you

- Strong experience as a chef/cook
- Confident cooking a full menu during busy service
- Experience preparing and cooking
- Strong focus on consistency and presentation
- Good understanding of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Able to work efficiently under pressure
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
