About Us

Dollar Quality Pty Ltd trading as Angel Construction is an established building company based in Port Douglas, Far North Queensland. We specialise in residential and commercial construction, including new builds, renovations, extensions and general building works.

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work across residential and commercial construction projects in Port Douglas and surrounding areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications to determine construction requirements.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials.
- Construct and install timber wall frames, floor frames, roof framing and roof trusses.
- Install doors, windows, door frames, architraves, skirting boards and other fixtures.
- Carry out carpentry works associated with residential and commercial renovations, alterations and extensions.
- Install, maintain and repair timber structures and building components.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment.
- Work alongside site supervisors, builders and other trades to coordinate construction activities.
- Ensure work complies with relevant Australian building codes, standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean,



organised and safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent relevant qualification and/or substantial relevant trade experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in timber framing, roof trusses and general construction carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials and workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic.
- Construction White Card, or ability to obtain one before commencing work.

Desirable Requirements

- Experience in residential and commercial construction.
- Experience working on renovations and extensions.
- Current driver's licence.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Salary and Employment Conditions

- Salary: From $79,423 per annum plus superannuation, subject to the applicable market salary rate.
- Employment: Full-time, permanent.
- Working Hours: 38 ordinary hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus reasonable additional hours as required.
- Work Location: Port Douglas, Queensland, and surrounding project sites.
- Employment conditions in accordance with applicable Australian workplace laws and industrial instruments.
