Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is currently seeking an experiencedWildlife Officer (Bird Focus) to join our team!
This hands‑on role offers the prospect to work closely with some of Australia's most incredible bird species while also supporting other wildlife sections across the sanctuary. You'll play an important role in maintaining high standards of animal welfare, supporting animal training and delivering memorable guest experiences.
As a Wildlife Officer, you'll be responsible for daily husbandry, animal care and training, maintaining exhibits and delivering engaging wildlife presentations. You'll work alongside our experienced keepers and educators to support the smooth operation of the Bird Department and help inspire guests to connect with wildlife and conservation.
We're looking for someone with a minimum Certificate III in Captive Animal Management or Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care, previous experience working with birds and at least two years of animal training experience. Strong presentation skills, a positive attitude and flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and school holidays are essential.
