As a Production Assembly Operator (Automotive), you will take ownership of your designated production bay, ensuring products are assembled safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while helping the team meet production schedules and delivery commitments.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for assembling vehicle components and products in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions and quality standards. You'll contribute to the successful delivery of customer orders by ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble vehicle components, accessories and products to specification.





- Complete production tasks in line with manufacturing schedules and delivery deadlines.

- Operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.

- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process.

- Identify and report defects, non-conformances and production issues.

- Maintain accurate production and quality records.

- Take ownership of your designated work bay, ensuring it remains safe, organised and productive.

- Monitor workflow and elevate issues that may impact safety, quality or delivery timeframes.

- Dispatch and receive deliveries as required.

- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets.

- Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.

What We're Looking For

Essential

- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings and specifications.

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

- Current Driver's Licence.

- Forklift Licence (LF).

- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Reliable work ethic and a proactive attitude.

- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Desirable

- Experience in automotive, assembly, manufacturing or production environments.

- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

- Certificate II or III in Automotive Manufacturing, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.

- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.
