About the role The Pet Butcher is seeking an experienced Mincer Operator to join our team in Hindmarsh, South Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that our pet food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Mincer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialised mincing equipment, managing raw materials, and ensuring consistent product output that meets our strict quality requirements.

This position is fundamental to our operations and directly impacts the quality of products delivered to our customers and their beloved pets.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and maintaining industrial mincing equipment safely and efficiently throughout daily production schedules

- Preparing raw materials and ensuring proper handling of ingredients in accordance with food safety standards

- Monitoring mincing processes to ensure consistency, quality and correct specifications are maintained

- Cleaning and sanitizing mincing equipment and work areas according to hygiene and food safety protocols

- Recording production data and maintaining accurate documentation of output and any issues encountered

- Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or maintenance requirements to supervisory staff.

- Hours of work 5am - 1pm Monday to Friday.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience operating industrial mincing or similar food processing equipment

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards relevant to meat and pet food production





- Ability to work efficiently and safely with mechanical equipment

- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and handling raw materials

- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work within a structured production environment

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
